Do I need to be a Healthcare Professional?

No experience is necessary to become     a Living Healthy Leader. Workshops are facilitated from a scripted manual. You   use the manual as a guide when you facilitate a workshop.

You will accomplish this by discussing:

  • The differences between acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Techniques used to create action plans and use problem solving.
  • Ways to breathe and relax in order to relieve symptoms of their chronic conditions.
  • The importance of healthy eating, increased physical activity and better communication with family, friends and healthcare professionals.
  • Ways in which you can deal with depression.
  • Your past and planning for your future.

Will I need to speak during this  Training?

Yes. Each Leader trainee will have an  opportunity to rehearse and deliver a brief  class segment as part of the training  workshop. In fact, the workshop will allow  Leader trainees to experience the LIVING  HEALTHY class content exactly as they will  deliver it in the community.
