Join our senior advocacy team of volunteers and make a real difference in the lives of seniors and disabled adults in our community. |
Advocacy for Senior Crime Victims – The Elder Rights Center provides direct assistance to older adults after a crime is reported to law enforcement. Older crime victims receive an array of services to help them recover from the crime and set up financial safeguards to protect themselves in the future. Our valued Senior Advocate Volunteers reach out to crime victims to share information and resources and inform older adults of their rights to victim compensation. |
Crime Prevention – Our staff and volunteers keep track of current scams, trends and crime prevention tips so we can share them with others. Contact us to schedule a free crime prevention presentation for your group of seniors. Favorite topics include: Fraud and Scams, Holiday Safety, and Preventing Elder Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation. |
Professional Training – Whether you are a caregiver or just part of a caring community, knowing how to recognize and respond to elder abuse, neglect and exploitation is a necessary skill. The Elder Rights Center offers training tailored to the needs of professionals in the law enforcement, health care, senior housing and public service arenas. Contact us to schedule a free training. |
Public Awareness – Help older adults and their loved ones and caregivers fight back by sharing information about common scams, tips for preventing crime, and how to report crimes. Please see our resources below for more information. |
